The GlassCeraX Bullet Proof Plate is a lightweight, monolithic ceramic plate, designed to provide Level III and Level III+ protection.
GlassCeraX has developed a novel ceramic material and proprietary process, that provides protection against multiple hits of 5.56 high speed ball (and AP) and 7.62 ball (and PS) munitions.
Test reports verify level III+ protection by 2.5 Kg plate.
Modern anti-trauma back face made of state-of-the-Art materials ensure average
of 24 mm deformation.
Multi hit capability is achieved by a unique pulverization energy dissipation
mechanism were the damage to the shielding plate is localized to the vicinity
of the impact rather than fracture energy mechanism characterizing high sonic
velocity ceramics.
GlassCeraX offers variety of sizes and geometries, both single curves and
multi curves. Plates have a minimum 5 years operational lifespan. The tests
were performed according to NIJ protocols to comply with NIJ 0101.04 standard.
