The Company was founded in 1997 as a project of the Yozmot Technology Incubator to exploit the in-laboratory findings of Dr. Alexander Raichel, a world-leading expert in glass technologies.

GlassCeraX has developed a manufacturing process that creates highly durable, top quality glass ceramics from coal ash, a by-product of the utility industry, in many countries.

This coal ash, is a significant burden to host countries and its disposal presents formidable challenges.

The ability GlassCeraX has demonstrated – taking coal ash, neutralizing its hazardous properties via the manufacturing process, and producing a superior glass ceramic product – marks the introduction of a compelling new technology in the production of glass ceramic based products.
